Anonymous Account

We allow the creation of an anonymous account so you can access some features (Leaderboard, Create Game) without registering.

Legitimate Use of Anonymous Account under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Description of Legitimate Interest: We rely on our legitimate interest to provide users with a seamless experience within the application without the need for full registration. The anonymous account allows users to access basic functionalities such as leaderboards or game functions without sharing additional personal data.

What Data We Collect:

  1. Random ID: A randomly generated unique identifier to distinguish each anonymous account.
  2. Random Username: A randomly generated username to represent your account in the application.
  3. Random Image: A randomly generated image or avatar associated with your account.
  4. Points: Points earned while playing, used for ranking.
  5. Word Games (Levels) Created by You: When you create a word game on our platform, we store the information associated with the game on our server. This information includes: - the game title - the words entered - the end game message - the generated game We retain this data to ensure the game is available to share with other players if you wish and to offer you the option to revisit or edit your game in the future.

How We Use the Data:

  1. Leaderboard: We use this data to store and display your position in the overall leaderboard within the application. This ranking is visible to other users but does not contain personally identifying information.
  2. Creation of Word Games: We also use the data to create your games on the server and offer you the option to share them with others if desired.

Privacy Impact:

The use of the anonymous account aims to reduce the impact on users’ privacy. Instead of requiring detailed information or sensitive personal data, the anonymous account operates with a minimal set of data.

Deletion of Anonymous Account and Created Games:

As per to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other Data protection regulation such as California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we inform you that you have the right to decide about your personal data. If you wish to delete your anonymous account, as well as the games you have created, you can do so from the Profile page within the mobile application. Once deleted, all data associated with your account and created games will be permanently erased and cannot be recovered. More details can also be found here: account deletion

We use a third-party service (Google Firebase Crashlytics) to collect information about the performance of the application and potential errors. This helps us improve your user experience.

Application crash data

The service collects data about the application’s behavior, such as errors and failures, as well as general information about the device used (model, operating system, etc.). We do not collect data that can be used to personally identify you.

The collected data is stored on secure servers and is protected by robust security measures to ensure its confidentiality and integrity.

Application analytics data

  1. We use a third-party service (Google Analytics) to collect this application behaviour. This is used for: a. User Behavior Analysis: Analytics allows us to understand how users interact with the application. This helps us improve functionality and user experience. b. Performance Optimization: We use this information to detect issues, improve the speed, and efficiency of the application.

  2. We collect data about your behavior within the application, such as pages visited, time spent, etc. This data is anonymized and aggregated and cannot be used to personally identify you.

  1. Monetization: We offer free content and features, and one way to support this model is through advertising. This allows us to continue developing and maintaining the application at no cost to you.

Retention Period: The data associated with anonymous accounts will be automatically deleted after 1 year of inactivity defined as interactions with the server, such as playing a game with an open internet connection.
